The Mucbe produces and coordinates this exhibition, which aims to show the public the most relevant Iberian archaeological remains that have been found in the different sites of our municipality. All these finds comprise a historical period dated between the 7th and 2nd centuries B.C., most of the finds belonging to the period of maximum splendor of this civilization during the 5th century B.C.
In room 9 on the first floor of the MUCBE you can permanently visit part of the Peiró Coronado Collection. This room, reserved exclusively for Peiró's work, will be periodically renovated so that visitors can enjoy the pictorial legacy that this artist left us.
The exhibitions will reveal other aspects of Peiró's life as a painter; photographs of his childhood, of his studio, of his works, personal letters with his close friends, which had such an influence on his painting, as well as catalogues and press clippings of his first exhibitions.
The temporary exhibitions that are programmed have a double aspect, on the one hand, this year we will find commemorative exhibitions or exhibitions of high-level artists such as Antoni Miró, Salvador Dalí, Joan Fuster, etc.
The other aspect is that the Mucbe is open to those artists or collectives who request to exhibit, so we can find various disciplines throughout the year.
You can also find, both in the Mucbe and in the Gothic building, temporary exhibitions that are repeated year after year, such as the Painting Contest, the photography contest, the exhibition of the Ninot Indultat de Fallas, the exhibition dedicated to Holy Week or the poster of the Patron Saint Festivities.
