Although in Benicarló Popular dances never disappeared, it was in 2011 when the Dan Groupzas de la Sotà apappears and in a few years a large part of this heritage is recovered and made visible.
In Benicarló We can highlight the Calle del Carmen dance, the Pebret jota, the San Antonio dance, the “camaraes” of Benicarló, the dance of Carmen and the processional dances of “Betes, Arquets i Gitanetes i Bastons”.
During the year it is possible to enjoy all those dances and traditional Valencian clothing in events such as Corpus Christi, festivals in the streets of Carmen or Santa Bárb.ara, la fiesta on October 9, the dance meetings with other groups from the regions and towns that surround us, or the Patron Saint festivities with events such as the procession to the patrons, the dance show or the popular dance of parties, where everyone has the opportunity to participate.
